Alina Sanko (born 31 December 1998;Russian: Алина Санько) is a Russian model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Russia 2019. She will represent Russia at the Miss Universe 2019 and Miss World 2019 competitions.

Early life and education[edit]

Sanko was born on 31 December 1998 inAzov. She resides in Moscow and attends theMoscow State University of Land Management, where she is studyingarchitecture.^[1] rior to entering pageantry, Sanko had worked as a model for an online catalogue.^[2]

Pageantry[edit]

In 2019, Sanko was selected to representAzov at Miss Russia 2019.^[3] She went on to win the competition, succeeding Yulia Polyachikhina of Chuvashia. Her runners-up were Arina Verina of Yekaterinburg and Ralina Arabova of Tatarstan.^[4][5][6][7] As part of her winning prize, Sanko was awarded a brand new car and ₽3 million.^[8][9] As Miss Russia, Sanko will be given the opportunity to represent Russia at Miss Universe 2019 and Miss World 2019.^[10][11]
