Two people have died and 22 more were injured in a fire at the ski resort of Courchevel in the French Alps, officials said. The pre-dawn blaze forced the evacuation of 60 resort workers, including foreigners, from a three-storey accommodation building. Two bodies were found in the burned-out building. Three of the four badly injured people were flown to hospital by helicopter. According to authorities in the Savoie region, the blaze started at 4.30am local time on Sunday in a building housing seasonal workers located in the heart of the alpine town. The cause of the fire was not immediately known but about 70 firefighters had brought it under control by daybreak, according to local officials. The French interior minister, Christophe Castaner, tweeted condolences to the families and friends of the dead and paid tribute to the firefighters who tackled the blaze. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/jan/20/fire-at-french-ski-resort-of-courchevel-kills-two
